Nick Clegg has reinstated the Liberal Democrats‘ opposition to the Snoopers’ Charter in response to Theresa May’s conference speech on Tuesday.
In today’s Call Clegg, Nick said that the Theresa May’s suggestion that the Lib Dem‘s opposition to the Bill was putting children at risk was appalling.
Liberal Democrats opposition was due to technical problems around the logging of IP addresses that were not being properly matched to users, causing the National Crime Agency to drop some cases.
This comes just two days after Liberal Democrat spokesman on Home Affairs, Justice and Equalities Julian Huppert wrote a letter below to Theresa May. Click here to read the letter.
