BAA DECISION BAD NEWS FOR PASSENGERS SAYS BAKER

“It is not right for one company to run more than one airport in London,” said the Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary, Norman Baker.

Commenting on BAA’s successful appeal against a Competition Commission ruling to force it to sell three of the seven UK airports it runs, Norman Baker said: “This is bad news for passengers. They are the ones who suffer when one company has a stranglehold over the UK’s airports.

“It is not right for one company to run more than one airport in London and both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.”
